Casio to Launch Fourth G-SHOCK Rui Hachimura Signature Model
Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has announced the upcoming release of the GBM-2100RH, a new addition to its renowned G-SHOCK line. This latest timepiece marks the fourth collaboration between Casio and Rui Hachimura, the NBA star currently playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Hachimura’s resilience and drive on the court align perfectly with the G-SHOCK brand’s ethos of strength and toughness. Since 2019, Casio has partnered with Hachimura globally, supporting his journey in the world’s most competitive basketball league.
The GBM-2100RH is the first signature model in this collaboration to utilize the GBM-2100’s design, known for its shock-resistant octagonal metal bezel, Smartphone Link, and Tough Solar charging system. Inspired by the basketball court, the watch features a gold-toned dial with a wood pattern that mimics the hardwood floor, highlighting the area beneath the basket—where Hachimura’s talent truly shines—with a distinctive white marking.
A personal touch is added with the symbol 八 (hachi in Japanese, meaning “eight”), representing Hachimura’s name, engraved at the eight o’clock position. His signature “Black Samurai” logo, blending the 八 symbol with a Japanese sword to form the “H” in “Hachimura,” is engraved on the band loop and incorporated into the packaging.
Additionally, Hachimura’s signature is engraved on the case back, making this timepiece a unique collector’s item.
